Unlikely that someone can have a finger trapped by the flap of a trash bin (and cannot extricate despite trying and being helped by crew). Could it have been him reaching into the trash (why? perhaps to retrieve something?) and got stuck somehow deep down? Still sounds very strange of course. But cannot imagine the flap trapped a finger.
