I went through YYC to LHR a few weeks ago and was surprised by how overcrowded and outdated the terminal is. Surprising when YUL has had a $1.5B makeover, new terminal in YYZ, YVR refurb etc. Alberta has a lot of money but it seems they let YYC get behind the curve.
There is a brand new international and U.S> terminal being built that will nearly double the size of the airport. Opens October 2015.
The existing terminal is also being reno'd.
