Can you use the (LodgeNet) TV with your laptop (HDMI)?
I'm staying a Four Points for an extended period. The LG TV has a plethora of connections in the back, including HDMI. I attached it to my laptop and was able to extend my desktop. Yeah! Ten minutes later the TV switched from HDMI input to plan ol' TV and the LodgeNet menu selection (Buy a movie NOW!). Everything I've tried has failed, about ten minutes worth of second screen.
I called LodgeNet but the support guy says it's a hotel preference (which seems a bit of a cop-out). The desk staff have no idea about this (claiming to not even know we can hook a computer to the screen). I'm waiting for management to respond, but meanwhile ...
Have any of you managed to wrangle this LodgeNet device, to use the TV as a second monitor?
