Apologies for the delay in responding to your comments. Ironically, I've been doing the opposite of what I did on this report, working and travelling to Germany every week.

Thanks agp423. I felt that the title aptly described my intentions and the reality of the trip .

Yes. It has it's benefits and disadvantages. Even when I do travel with someone I have to steal myself away for periods at a time to ensure that I get some time alone.

I guess the Macca's was more enjoyable than the chicken sandwich.

Interested to see how the five days in Fiji go.
Thanks DanielW. Yes, it was, sadly! Hope that you enjoy the photos.

You should report back and let me know how you got on.

WA is amazing! I love the coastline, absolutely stunning with miles and miles of untouched beaches. I hope that you had a good time. Yes, it was sad to leave (more of that in my next trip report) but it feels right being back and close to my family. Being able to play with my niece and nephew every weekend makes it worth it especially as they get all excited when I arrive.

Nope! Some elements were from a full service airline whilst others were low cost. Bit of a mixture really.

Thanks PETER01. I should have remembered my 'stranger danger' lessons from school!

I'd love to do nothing for five days on Fiji island. Hope what I will see and read from the remainder of this TR will get me finally to take the plunge to go a paradise island to do nothing for a change.
Thank you UA_Flyer and welcome back. Yes, I believe that they are exactly the same seats, I've heard good reviews about them. Shame that I didn't get the opportunity to try them for myself.

You should. Go and relax!

Also, I've flown on a number of A333s and I've never heard the bang/crash sounds described before. That would indeed be very alarming.
Hmm. I can't remember, something old, Love Actually perhaps? Yes it was, there was lots of passengers looking around.
