Just stayed there again this weekend. Clean, great location, friendly staff. Got Diamond upgrade to the top floor corner suite (living room, dining room, large bedroom with work space and extra seating area) -- overkill for what we needed, but they were sold out and moved us up, I guess. Breakfast is fine, in the restaurant downstairs, nothing special, but fine buffet. Worth staying.

Complaints: PARKING COST is $25 in downtown Detroit on a Friday night when it is empty. Absurd. And there is no self-park option. Also, they have no signage indicating where to get the valet and no one stands watching the front of the hotel... so after circling twice, I just walked in and grabbed the valet. I asked the front desk (and recommended some kind of sign) and they said the city stopped them from setting up a sign and cones to mark out a valet zone... I recommended they at least put a sign outside. We could have parked in other lots nearby, but on a Friday night 9:30pm, we decided not to bother.
