Cash buyups to J are routinely offered at $750-1000 at check in. Thus I think that's the ceiling on GPU value. For me, the BF product is pretty awful except for the seat, so I don't value them that highly. That being said, being able to readily use them on LH flights does have quite a bit of value especially the LAX-FRA route.
