You reminded me of something. In 1998/9 I was flying to YYZ on a AC 744. I had spent some time on the flight deck and the captain (doing the flying today) asked me if I would like to come back for the landing (would I?!). We're coming in and with what seems like only a few hundred feet to go, the pilot announces abort-go around (I'm wearing the guest headset) and eases the four throttles forward and pulls on the yoke. The power was amazing and I hadn't even realised what was going on until I saw a little Fokker just pulling off the end of our runway. The second approach was uneventful!
