Other reports here, I recall at least one, have stated that where the last flight of the day was missed, the PH took total responsibility. Or perhaps it was missing the departure after check out because of large seas.
Regardless, if the PH does not allow guests to make their own reservations, and they state that they can't provide the transfer information, other than they will look after it, I would expect them to sort the situation out, and as a last resort rely on travel insurance.
