THis was the first time the Twitter team just flat out didnt help. They responded way late and said "arrange this at airport." I went on to FB and relayed this to them and they sent me an apology mail and refunded my card. They claim they have "exciting changes" upcoming to fix this issue. But I am not holding my breath.
I consider intra-Europe EC to be worth one tweet, as soon as I get my confirmation # (if I can't assign the seat myself online at klm.com).
My only concern is long-haul flights on KLM, but usually those are KLM flight numbers. And, well, I do my best to avoid being in economy class for those flights anyway.
