I foolishly thought otherwise, and only figured out my mistake when the upgrade didn't process. Sure enough, I was booked in M. A dummy booking selecting MVP upgrade books at the same price in B.
Anyway, curious how widespread this is. I have passed the 24-hour mark since booking, so I cannot cancel and rebook (even though U is still available), and I will just hope that the upgrade gods smile on me.
Interesting. I'd be curious to look up the actual published fares on ExpertFlyer and see if they indeed match. If so, that's an odd way for the revenue management folks to do it.
