To answer Kanor's question

I normally use the oneworld lounges and a very small number of them in Asia and Australia and after getting sick of Qantas moved to Air New Zealand and Virgin gaining Star Alliance Points

As a fair amount of my travel is across the Tasman from AU to NZ all I have been using is the Air New Zealand Lounges

Someone recently pointed out that you can use other Star Alliance lounges in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and at the end of the year I will take a trip to USA and Canada for the first time on only Star Alliance Carriers

On Air Canada's website I found that list and from whats on the list I thought that there were no other lounges

I am also not really *Gold but the equivalent of it when it comes to lounges (Thanks to a United Club membership)

I have tried the LoungeBuddy app but the data for Australia/New Zealand is really out of date
