6. Two airlines were operating Vickers Viscount turboprop service nonstop between Miami and Nassau at this time. Name both air carriers.
One was Bahamas Airways, and the other was UK-based carrier Cunard Eagle, a short-lived venture between Eagle Airways and the Cunard shipping line, which was suddenly terminated during the year by some remarkable skulduggery by BOAC and the then chairman of Cunard.
Both used Viscount 700s. The Bahamas Airways ones actually belonged to BOAC, who never operated the type directly itself but had a substantial fleet they leased out to their various associated companies.
