vegas virgin here, booking a trip for ~ Aug 28 - Aug 31 2014. Wife and I are flying for free on our SW CP, looking for a good hotel package now.
Say we can book Luxor for ~80/night vs. venetian for $220 w/fees, is it worth the extra money? We also have 140K marriot points (+ 5 free night certs, cat 1-4), but not sure we want to blow them all in vegas this trip, may save for later SW CP trips.
I've been reading about the $20 sandwich upgrade method, will certainly give that a shot at check in, along with possibly avoiding resort fees via LMTClub booking...
Friends are staying at mandalay bay, so we'd like to spend 1 day at the pool. Can we buy a day pass? or are we stuck staying at least 1 night there to gain access to the pool? TIA
