Delta is filling seats out of SFO with low fares. Often there are paid (domestic) first (-UP) fares on DL that are about the price of economy on UA. Whether I'm working or resting, a connecting flight in DL F beats a direct flight in UA Y (even with a tiny ex-hub chance of upgrades).
