DL is going to have to spend a lot of money to make SEA a success.
And, UA will only be hurt fourth worst by DL's incursion.
Feeling the most pain, in order:
1) AS - bruising battle with DL underway and escalating
2) DL - AS is not going to lay down here, DL has a battle on their hands
3) WN
4) UA (and yes, they will be hurt less because their domestic presence is smaller than it used to be)
For all the battling going on between DL and AS, DL still needs AS's massive feed for the SEA int'l flights. More long haul DL flights out of SEA is a good thing for AS, while increased competition on domestic routes is obviously not. Whether it ends up as a net positive or net negative is TBD IMO.
