Each segment has its own UG availability - or lack of availability. Whether or not you start at GRR or DTW shoudn't make any difference.
If ATL/DFW has UG availability at the time of the system UG sweep, you should get it, whether or not you you start at GRR or DTW.
I guess my question would be - and something I never thought of . . . .
How does the UG sweep happen? Numerically by flight number . . . and by starting with which segment? Some other way?
For example . . . . I'll use the situation above, but add specific flight numbers . . . .
GRR/ATL/DFW - - DL3555/1950
DTW/ATL/DFW - - DL1223/1950
Assuming there's 1 seat available on DL1950, will the person flying on DL1223/1950 get the UG on flight 1950 before the person flying on DL3555/1950, because their originating flight has a lower number , therefore it's processed first?
