Delta does seem to be making a serious commitment to the west coast. I remember when some of the UA SFO-LAX service ran every 20 minutes in the afternoons. Those days are long gone.

DL SFO-LAX is fantastic -- to some extent, I'd rather be on that in coach than UA in F. Free Sierra Nevada beer, Starbucks coffee, and a veggie tray in Y vs. UA's Budweiser, FreshBrew, and potato chips in F. And you can drop a bag at 30 minutes out and get guaranteed WiFi on DL.
