I actually prefer the Andaz over the Grand Hyatt overall (primarily for the great location in Xintiandi and the bathrooms), but everyone else is correct that the entry-level suites at the Andaz are sub-par.

I'd request a "regular" XL room at the Andaz, as these are better than the basic suites and overall truly quite nice; if this is a no-go, then go for the suite at the GH and just be aware that being stuck over in Lujiazui can be a pain.
