I actually just finished transferring some MR to BA for a short haul. Pretty satisfying booking a flight for $5.
No decent Citi for everyday MS now that TY 5x is gone.
If you can find low cost vgc or prepaid, even 1x cards make sense if you have easy cashout methods available. That said, in my area, the walls are closing in. Just in the last few months my options have drastically changed. All the VR refugees descended on local WMs and they couldn't withstand the onslaught. Several stopped accepting vgc altogether and others severely limited volume. Cut my volume by more than 60%.
