I haven't flown to/from Hawaii since late last year, but it's interesting that the meal selections have stayed the same for so long. I suppose that since these routes are so leisure vs. business-heavy, that AA assumes variety isn't as necessary as on routes where business travelers might be making more routine trips.
The OP was relaying their positive experience on HNL-DFW, which is a great flight. Why bring up HNL-LAX flights in this thread?
