1. Find alternate flight options on UA metal in the same class of service.

2. Call up and explain that a schedule change has resulted in an illegal connection.

3. Politely ask to be rebooked on one of the options you have found. Don't expect them to change the date of your travel unless everything in your class of service is oversold.

4. If the agent is not willing or able to oversell the space to get your connection fixed, politely thank them for trying, hang up and go to step 2.
