I wonder if it makes a difference it you use your US # (on US flight # and US metal) at time of purchase. And then after ticket issued, then immediately switch FF number to AA #. Then all profile info is in the system when reservations is booked.

I don't think you can log into USairways.com with an AA.com FF number?
