Know that HNA and HKA have been facing difficulties in funding, but I think HX and UO, at least UO, are going to survive. HX has improved its operation nowadays. Especially the business product is better than KA, although I never see them being half-full.

funding is one thing, SCMP just published that pilots are leaving in large numbers.
What they are realising I think is that CX is not incompetent and has cut costs wherever it can, unlike Europe and the US where LCC's took advantage of the high cost base of the legacies. (post 2009 CX costs fell significantly- became lower than SQ's and has remained there)
hence HX can only compete with CX by short changing pilots /safety etc to keep its costs lower.
anyways this is not about HX so sorry about that.
Anyone think CX will construct a new lounge at the midfielfd concourse - set to open next year?
