I fully expect AA to go revenue based once the merger with US is complete. My friends who work in the company think this will happen to.

the only way it won't happen is if enough people defect from UA/DL and AA management sees this as a plus they keep the old system to entice new defectors. After all i only got into AA cuz of a status match.
