Looking at the photo of your pants in the bottom of the case, could you reorient by 90 degrees to solve this problem? It appears there is some extra space left, but not sure how much. Alternatively, you could consider using the little plastic shirt holder clips at the button and at the seam on the rear (just as the pants are frequently presented at department stores when on hangers) to reduce the width an inch or two. That should also align the crease along the lower front of the pants with the continuing crease at the top of the pants.
