Recently in Dusseldorf I was complaining about the long queues at the Check In counter and the absence of staff at the Business Check In while flying with SAS. SAS recently dropped Lufthansa as their Handling Agent at Dusseldorf Airport and since then things have been taking a long long time. The Agent behing the counter first got mad, then replied that SAS is short of money and is not willing to pay for extra service for a couple of Gold Card holders.

Then he suddenly said: From Jan 2015 SAS is switching to One World terminating the long journey with Star Alliance. I've been doing my Google but haven' found anything about this rumoured switch. I'd rather hope that SAS stays with the Star Alliance since at least the Dusseldorf Senator Lounge has a smoking room
