You make a valid point, but so does the previous poster. I can remember in Pattaya a few years ago a lot of farang getting absolutely apoplectic about paying 10 baht on a baht bus while Thais were paying 5 baht. If I dropped a 5baht coin on the ground and it rolled 10 feet away I wouldn't bother walking over to pick it up. Then to get into a screaming fight with a baht bus driver over the same amount simply didn't make sense.

Matter of perspective, IMO.
