I'm not happy and was very sad when the merger proceeded. I think the AA standalone plan was compelling, international growth, fleet renewal and lower labor costs would have gone a long way, as evidenced by AAs strong revenue performance 2H 2013. It's unfortunate the narrow minded union leaders were so focused on removing Horton and the other management. Personally don't see any real network synergies with the merger and several people I know who work in and are knowledgeable about the industry agree. So in sum no I'm not happy, the merger is adds little value and has been all negative from my perspective. Just hoping things don't get really bad but then again where will AA pax go?
