So it is good for me, short term. Overall, I'm disappointed because the program just devalued AGAIN.
This is a devaluation? Maybe we use different math but a nearly 50% increase in RDM's is hardly what I call a devaluation. For most, there really will be a devaluation in the sense they will be earning fewer RDM's, not more. I would love your kind of devaluation.

Actually it’s been closer to the past four years (beginning with DL) and the reasons are simple. Unlike in the past, the airlines now control capacity and there are only three legacies, not the competitive six we had only a few years ago. Sure, the FFP’s are paying dearly but the airlines are more stable and profitable today. Well, except UA. From the FFP POV, makes no sense. From the airline POV, dream come true.

Great program? They were always only a recession away from bktcy. The airlines wanted to get to three legacies and stability. Now they have it and it is up to each to make the best of it going forward. And they ain’t done cutting the FFP’s.
