If you need the points find a way of flying QR - but be sure it really qualifies for points, bit of a minefield there.
But be sure you have looked closely at Offers on the CX website. They can be much cheaper to fly J to the less wealthy Asian destinations via HK than direct HK fares. Also try calling the London number - the phone price is often cheaper and more flexible than online.
I have no idea how QR can get you to CRK. But unless your client is based well North of MNL I would recommend giving it a miss.
