The European business class on any European airline - not just Air France - is a f****** joke. It is an economy class seat, separated from the rest of economy class by a curtain. It is a total, total waste of money. The food may be better than down the back but for the ridiculous fare difference, I can buy a pretty nice meal anywhere. I remember the first time I flew business class in Europe on Lufthansa (which was long after I'd flown biz elsewhere) I stepped into the "business class" cabin which was much like this and I actually said "what the ****?"
Who the hell thought of calling an economy class seat business class?
If you fly even premium economy on any of the longhaul airlines, such as Cathay Pacific, their premium ECONOMY seat is a wonderful utopian example of hitherto unheard of levels of comfort and luxury and space compared to this intra-Europe "business class" joke.
Nice report btw, it is just the seats which are hopeless!
