PVD
Although it would require a new station opening, I wonder if PVD-CLE would be worthwhile?
Maybe it'd offer PVD-RDU, PVD-CVG, PVD-DFW, PVD-IAH, PVD-DEN at about 4-6x weekly just to be news in the PVD market if it's going through the effort of a new station opening. Spirit opened in MCI without Florida service, although it offered LAS. So maybe one destinational/fun location would be LAS also. From PVD, fleet usage would be more intense however given the region's more remote location relative to the center of the country.
From PVD's wikipedia page, PVD lacks year round nonstop service to these 5-7 regions/airports and F9 has presence at all airports.
I'm not sure how it'd play out in CLE, as Southwest offers CLE-BWI-BOS/PVD/MHT but I think those seeking very low fares and convenience of nonstop could do CLE-PVD and rent car to BOS. It maybe preferable than putting miles on personal car to drive, park and fly out CAK to get on Southwest's CAK-BOS.
It would be nice if CLE-TTN was expanded. I noticed that it turns to an early AM flight and F9 is offering TTN-CLE-DEN via connection. TTN-RDU is very early morning. I do wonder if ILG-CLE and ILG-RDU could co-exist with the TTN offerings, especially if timed during the afternoon. A friend wanted to fly to RDU and I suggested Frontier to save money. However, the flight times were totally incompatible. I've looked to fly to CLE and found the same issue. It works for some, but a few more flights added might not over saturate the supply of seats.
