My brother-in-law flew on a Silver Air codeshare connecting to mainline UA on a ticket bought on dot bomb.

They would not honor his status and forced him to pay $25 for a checked bag.

That's their policy and UA accepts it, with apologies to my BiL but no compensation.

Frankly, I blame United. They should not allow a partner to deny UA/* benefits on a ticket bought on UA dot bomb

I wish the title of this thread was DO NOT FLY SILVER AIR!
