Note that BA only allows upgrades of one cabin, and to upgrade from economy you need to book expensive flexible fares (Y, B or H).
For instance when I enter Dubai to Los Angeles on Business Class it would be 90,000 Avios one way plus the taxes, fees and carrier surcharges. Does it mean that for a total of 180,000 Avios I can get a Business Class ticket without purchasing the economy? So the 180,000 Avios is the total price not just the upgrade?

If it's true then I'll collect with BA!
