Sometimes it isn't much more expensive. The inbound sector wouldn't have APD, which accounts for a chunk of the ex-EU saving in the outbound direction. And you are also avoiding one CE YQ charge.

You will, however, probably find that the inbound sector is inflexible in line with normal ex-UK I class rules. The outbound will remain semi-flex if so, but the inbound half will be non-changeable.
