What would you do in my case?

I pay my own ticket with cash without redeeming miles but I'd like to collect the miles to be able to upgrade my family's tickets when needed but the problem is that I'm living in a country where the leading carrier is not a member of any alliance. Here in Dubai obviously you have to use Emirates because you can reach with it nearly any destination non-stop. The downside is the miles I collected with them can't be used on one world flights for my family. My family is living in Europe and they're using British and Finnair in one world plus Lufthansa and Turkish in Star Alliance.

My local Citi bank credit card lets me transfer my miles to the following airlines: Delta, BA, Qatar, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Etihad and Asia Miles.

What would be the best way to accumulate miles into a one world airline? Obviously my Emirates Skyward miles can't be transferred, it's clear but when I'm flying with someone else, say with Qatar, Cathay Pacific or BA then which FF number should I enter?

Majority of the time when I'm not flying Emirates, I tend to choose Qatar or Cathay Pacific and really rarely BA but since my family is living in Europe they would stick to BA if I would collect my miles there. The downside is if I'm flying Qatar with my BA ff number I will get relatively low number of miles because I'm only a basic member in one world since most often I choose Emirates!

Complicated, right? Any idea?

So basically I'm the person who collect the miles and and my family using them but all these accounts are mine and I'm paying for their tickets also. I do not need to transfer my miles to another family member's account.
