What you are able to do with Qmiles depends on the rules of the Qatar Airways frequent flyer programme. In general, you cannot upgrade a paid ticket on another airline, which is what you want to do. But if you have enough Qmiles you could redeem them to get the BA ticket you want.

This is not 100% clear to me so I can be wrong but all I need to pay attention for is to use only one airline's ff number while booking the ticket? So even if I'm booking a ticket on qatarairways.com with Qatar and flying on Qatar, instead of receiving Qmiles, just because I entered my BA ff number I'll receive Avios to my BA account?

Sorry for my bad English!
Yes. How many Avios you earn will depend on marketing carrier (QR or CX in your example) and the booking class - again this will be in the rules of the BA frequent flyer programme.
