Hey fellow users.

I want to travel to Poland from USA, NJ with my pet Jack Russel who is 8.2 kg currently. He was extremely spoiled the past few years and gained weight. I have been making him lose some weight roller skating with in every day. I am not starving him but I am worried.

This may be my last year going to see my Grandparents and my brother due to me going to medical school. But I have an issue with my dog. I cannot leave him here in USA and I cannot let him go get stored in the plane where I cannot see him. It is just some personal promise I made that I cannot break.

Recently I heard that you can take a dog in the cabin. But I do not want to get my hopes up because this is my last option.

How strict is for example Lufthansa on the 8kg limit (dog + kennel). I believe I can get him right under 8 kg but the kennel just ruins it for me.

I would love to hear peoples experiences. You would be a life savior.
