AT PDX this week I was there at around 1:30 and didn't see the cheese/crackers that I recalled seeing before. So I asked about it and was told that the cheese comes out when the soup is pulled. "What time is that?" i asked. It depends on when the soup runs out

So I presume that if the soup is good and there's a run on it, the cheese comes out early. But if it's bad there is a "cheese hold" pending the soup being used up. Would a time schedule help here?
Also, I thought it was okay for Board Room members to use the room even if they are not flying on Alaska that day. Is that not the case?
Thanks - Really enjoying my Alaska Airlines experience overall.
I would usually expect soup to be out until 2pm or so unless it has run out.
You have to be flying on some airline that day.
