Exactly, Main Cabin Extra (when and if available - not all planes have been adapted) is free for platinum and above and half price for gold. The rest of preferred seats are free for gold.
The OP referred to the "orange label" seats which is the colour for MCE
Green is the colour for preferred
( at least on reservations I have looked at )
MCE is only complimentary for Gold members in the 24 hours prior to departure
