Yet I get credit when I book through a third party corp site?
I thought you only don't get credit when it is an opaque site which doesn't allow you to know which hotel is being booked until after you hit confirm!
As others have posted, your best bet is a trip advisor review. Posting here at FT won't get you as much high touch.
Good Luck!!!
As far as I know, if you book via any third party site (except maybe for corporate bookings via a travel agent) you get nothing at all, at least if it's a prepaid rate.
If it's a rate where you pay at check-in, I believe it's actually the same thing, which I can understand. Since the hotel makes more money on a booking made directly through them, verses paying a commission to a third party.
Take the second bit of info with a grain of salt though. I may be completely wrong. To be honest, I never book third party any more due to uncertainty, unless I truly don't care what property I land at, and just want to save money.
