They won't check you in early under ANY circumstances unless you pay (sometimes they want the whole day price for checking you in a couple of hours before their check-in deadline). They won't make a fuss if you come between 2 and 3 pm, but early will always be a problem.

And they don't care about your ChoiceHotels status whatsoever.
Front desk at Nagoya airport comfort inn just told me that US Choice privileges is different than their program. I'm confused. Can you not earn points at Japanese hotels?
