While cleaning up screenshots and other downloaded junk on my laptop I came across this screenshot for a reservation cancelled within 24 hours. I found a cheaper fare (lower booking class and lower taxes) on exactly the same flights soon after booking. I called LH and was told that a refund would take longer unless I cancelled online. So I went ahead and cancelled the booking but must have taken a screenshot just in case.
Under 'Important Information' it reads: 'As your booking was made within the last 24 hours, it will be cancelled and refunded regardless the conditions of your fare. Lufthansa will credit the refund amount to your account within the next days. If a Lufthansa ticket service charge was collected, please note this charge is not refundable.
Attention! The booking will be cancelled irreversibly for all travellers listed above and the refund process will be started!'
You can check the original amount paid by clicking a link and you are asked to tick a box to accept the T&C
and click the blue button at the bottom which reads: 'Yes, cancel booking and refund ticket'. It would be difficult to cancel your booking by mistake.
