Just because AS shows award availability for a flight, doesnt mean its available to partners. Is it the lowest level availability on AS? AS awards and most any airline for that matter always has "award" space open on any flight which is equivilent to paying for full Y or full F fares although it can require 2 or 3 times the miles of a lower award
