But still, 5X points for bonused spend and no AF is a sweet deal. Either give them a call, go thru the drill, and get that card approved. Or just wait, it probably won't be 2 weeks. I've gotten a "wait 30 days" message before, called in right away, and been told I had already been approved. Part of the 2 weeks is the time for either a card or a denial to reach you thru the USPS.
Yeah, you're right. I do want that card. And I was planning to get the Sapp Pref in about 6 months. I've called the automated status line and am getting "pending" still, so I'll call recon on Monday. The way they treat you is kind of demoralizing for no reason.
My experience with Amex and Barclay, on the other hand, has been nothing short of amazing. They clearly appreciate me as a customer. The difference between these banks and Chase is stark and makes Chase look really bad, at least in my own experience.
