I couldn't find the said indications - do you know which hotel QR tend to use now? The Oryx Rotana seemed to be the hotel of choice when QR was using the old airport is it still the case now or have they changed habits??
Someone on this board had an STPC confirmation a good few months ahead for the Oryx Rotana.
Not sure if the transit hotel is associated with QR, but even if it is, commercial sense would dictate they reserve that to paying guests and offer STPC-users something less convenient.
