I checked in a bag in AUS last week for the BA flight to LHR.

It has an integrated combination lock which I left unlocked as I had nothing of value in there.

The TSA decided to search the bag but instead of trying to just open it (by pressing the button next to the combination part) cut completely through the lock making the bag unusable.

I don't suppose I have any comeback? The bag was an expensive and relatively new wedding present
