The OP's rental started yesterday. And $15/day + taxes/fees for a full-size car sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
That sounds like a very good deal. I got a midsize from Hertz for $11.00 a day plus taxes/fees in LAS last week using Priceline (name your own price). Wow those airport, city taxes and fees add up.

I was shocked when Hertz came up - I thought I would get Alamo or Budget or worse. Perhaps Rent A Dent (remember them).
