I could be wrong, but I think the J class ticket price on the BKK-VIE route is normally a bit cheaper compare with the J class fare on BKK-AMS/LHR, so perhaps this is one of the reason that op is considering between VIE/LHR?

Otherwise like others said, RL is definitely better option. The seat is better, the amenity on flight is also better.
