Absolutely, the metro line near the hotel (turn left) takes you straight to Las Ramblas, etc. without having to change lines.
You also have buses right outside the hotel that will take you various places.
The hotel is also a lot closer to the Camp Nou stadium, which apparently is the number one attraction in Barcelona in terms of paying visitors...
